Who is Jaheira?

Jaheira is a recruitable Druid and a strong leader of the Harpers at the Last Light Inn in Act 2. She is responsible for leading them in the assault on Moonrise Towers, and can be encountered upon entering the Last Light Inn.

Having Jaheira join you as an ally in the assault on Moonrise Towers will guarantee her joining your party later. Ensure that Isobel is saved and that the Nightsong is freed.

Once Ketheric Thorm has been defeated, Jaheira can join your camp permanently as a potential party member.

How to Recruit Jaheira

Head to the Shadow-Cursed Lands

Jaheira is first met at Act 2 at the Last Light Inn within the Shadow-Cursed Lands. Complete Act 1 and choose either to take the Underdark or the Mountain Pass to get to the Shadow-Cursed Lands.

If you sided with Minthara, it is recommended you take the Mountain Pass route since she gives you a Spider's Lyre for summoning Kar'niss who aids you with a moonlantern. If not, the Underdark is the safer passage.

Talk to Jaheira at the Last Light Inn

Talk to Jaheira at the Last Light Inn and earn her trust through persuasion or by showing her the artefact.

You can continue to talk to her inside the inn, but after talking to her in the entrance, you can continue on to the Moonrise Towers.

How to Get to Last Light Inn

Infiltrate the Moonrise Towers

You can reach the Moonrise Towers by following the path southwest from the Last Light Inn and through the Tollhouse by crossing a bridge.

The Moonrise Tower Waypoint is located on a wall just before the wall of shadow obscuring the bridge to Moonrise Towers.

Once you are at the Moonrise Towers, engage in some dialogue checks to get in safely, and feel free to conduct business within from meeting Ketheric Thorm to unlocking other side content such as taking Balthazar's moonlantern.

How to Get to Moonrise Towers

Get Inside the Gauntlet of Shar

At the Moonrise Towers, you can get wind of Ketheric Thorm ordering his servant, the necromancer Balthazar, to obtain a relic in the Thorm Mausoleum. Inside this mausoleum is the Gauntlet of Shar. You must meet Nightsong in the Shadowfell within the gauntlet to progress the story.

Once you are done with any business at the Moonrise Towers, head out for the gauntlet. The gauntlet can be found at the grand Thorm Mausoleum to the far north of the Moonrise Towers. You will have to solve several puzzles and defeat Balthazar within the gauntlet.

How to Beat the Gauntlet of Shar

Free the Nightsong in Shadowfell

After having collected Umbral Gems from the Gauntlet's Trials and Yurgir, and having obtained the Spear of the Night in the Silent Library, head to the Shadowfell entrance by placing the gems on the pedestals.

It is recommended that you defeat Balthazar before entering Shadowfell as his fight in the gauntlet is easier.

You cannot exit Shadowfell once you are inside, so make sure to camp and set the necessary members (including Shadowheart since this a major part of her questline.) Make sure to free the Nightsong and persuade Shadowheart not to kill her. After exiting Shadowfell, head back to the Moonrise Towers to witness a raid. Head to the entrance to talk to Jaheira.

How to Find the Nightsong

Attack the Moonrise Towers with Jaheira

Find Jaheira at the Moonrise Towers entrance. To seal Jaheira's opportunity to join your party, you will have to ask her to join in you in beginning the attack on the Moonrise Towers.

The battle in the Moonrise Towers will be difficult. Before you join her, you can take a Long Rest outside of the hostile area (even after clearing the first floor). Clear the main floor with her while keeping her alive.

After clearing the main floor, proceed to defeat Ketheric Thorm at the tower (Jaheira will temporarily attend to the Harpers after), then follow Thorm into the Mind Flayer Colony and defeat him as the Apostle of Myrkul.

Defeat Ketheric Thorm and Recruit Jaheira

Talk to Jaheira in the Moonrise Towers after defeating Ketheric Thorm and ask her to join you.

Jaheira should be available to recruit in your camp as soon as this dialogue is done. You will need to have defeated Ketheric Thorm completely including his final form Apostle of Myrkul inside the Mind Flayer Colony.
