McTominay price

One player is certain to leave Man United tomorrow is Scott McTominay.

The midfielder is joining Napoli and the Serie A side will pay a fee rising to £30m, MEN Sport understands.

It's looking likely that the deal will be confirmed tomorrow.

Hojlund boost

Rasmus Hojlund looks to be on the mend from his injury.

The club have posted a series of images of him back in fitness training. His return will be a huge boost.

No Ugarte yet

We have just over 24 hours until the transfer window closes and there is still no Ugarte confirmation.

Fear not, that doesn't mean the deal isn't being completed. The midfielder should still sign for United.

Sancho talks

Man United and Chelsea are currently still in talks over a move for Jadon Sancho, according to Fabrizio Romano.

It's said that a deal for Sancho is separate to the Osimhen deal that Chelsea are trying to work on. The winger is also wanted by Juventus.

Jose Mourinho verdict on Erik ten Hag's Man United signing is clear as 'talks held'

Jose Mourinho's Fenerbahce are reportedly determined to beat Atletico Madrid to the signing of former Manchester United loanee Sofyan Amrabat before the transfer deadline.

Amrabat spent last season on loan at Old Trafford, making 17 starts across all competitions. The 28-year-old finished his loan stint high, featuring the full 90 minutes in United's FA Cup final win over Manchester City in May.

He admitted being keen to stay at United, telling Ziggo Sport: "Do I already know what I'm going to do next year? No. We are going to talk, staying is certainly an option. Manchester United are the biggest club in the world, so who wouldn't want to play football here? But all parties have to be happy with each other, so we will sit down now and see what happens."

Tyrell Malacia update

The 25-year-old was spotted completing individual training on the grass this week, prompting excitement among supporters.

He is continuing to work his way back from a long-term injury he sustained in 2023, which he later underwent knee surgery for.

One fan said: "Hope he comes back strong. We will need to be patient with him, he has missed a lot of football!. Wouldn't be surprised if he was part of the u21s for a few games before being brought back into senior fold."

Another added: "Genuinely so happy for the guy to be back moving around, hope he gets his confidence back."

Fresh Raheem Sterling claim

Arsenal have reportedly been offered Sterling by the player's representatives.

It's said Arsenal have stated a salary they would be willing to offer, which Sterling has reportedly accepted. This would see the 29-year-old take a significant pay cut to join the Gunners.

Man United held exploratory discussions with Chelsea about Sterling on Tuesday, with a view to Jadon Sancho potentially heading in the opposite direction. Well-placed sources say the talks have not advanced any further and United are into the final swathes of the window.

A separate source believes a deal "feels unlikely".

Juventus find Jadon Sancho alternative

Although Juventus are said to remain interested in signing Sancho, they already have an alternative, should a potential deal fall through.

Tutto Mercato Web report the Italian giants are interested in signing Bayer Leverkusen's Amine Adli. He played a crucial role in the club's record-breaking season last term.

Mason Mount injury blow

Mount has suffered a minor injury setback and will miss the next few games for Man United.

In a message to fans, he wrote: "During the last game I picked up a minor muscle issue.I've had it checked and it looks like I'll be out for a few games. Leading up to and during pre-season, I worked hard to get my fitness back to where it needs to be and I felt re-energised, sharp and ready.

"I wanted you to hear it directly from me how frustrated I am, as I expect you are too. I will do everything possible to be back in the best shape and help the team."

How United could still sell players after deadline day

United’s battle with Premier League spending rules has been well documented this summer as Sir Jim Ratcliffe increases his grip on transfer activity.

Dan Ashworth and his recruitment team are thought to be pleased with how their first window has panned out, with four arrivals soon turning into five upon Manuel Ugarte’s unveiling.

His transfer will see the club’s net spend rise to around £110million amid a supposed target of £50m, but the scheduled exit of Scott McTominay and probable departure of Jadon Sancho will help to bring down that figure.

United are copying Man City with seven sales

Manchester City have been the best exporters of young talent in England for a long time.

City have generated millions of pounds to reinvest back into their first team by selling academy players and have shown other Premier League clubs how to negotiate such deals.

They regularly include high sell-on fees in sales so they can receive money on the back of a player's future success, and that's been helpful in the era of Profit and Sustainability rules (PSR).

Chelsea boss addresses Sancho links

Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca has spoken about the possiblity of signing Jadon Sancho.

The attacker worked with Maresca in the youth ranks of Manchester City prior to his initial move to Borussia Dortmund in 2017.

Speaking to media yesterday, the Chelsea boss said:

"I know Jadon very well from many years with (Manchester) City. I know him very well. But he is not our player. We will see what happens.”

Chelsea and Juventus still battling for Sancho

A report from Sky Sports says both Chelsea and Juventus are still in the race for Jadon Sancho.

MEN Sport reported earlier this week that talks had begun with Juventus after the attacker was left out of Saturday's squad against Brighton.

Sky says Sancho prefers Chelsea over Juventus, albeit the Turin club are doing what they can to try and get a loan deal over the line. The Blues are willing to being Sancho in permanently, it adds.

Two United players in England squad

England interim boss Lee Carsley has named Kobbie Mainoo and Harry Maguire in his squad for next month's Nations League fixtures.

There is no place for Marcus Rashford, who missed out on Euro 2024 preliminary selection, or Luke Shaw, who is injured.

Former United midfielder Angel Gomes has been handed a surprise call-up while Tino Livramento, Morgan Gibbs-White and Noni Madueke get their first call-ups.

United still considering Sterling transfer

MEN Sport can reveal United are still debating whether to make a last-gasp move for Raheem Sterling amid his exile from Chelsea's first-team.

Initial talks on Tuesday have not progressed any further, though. Jadon Sancho could be part of a swap deal albeit disucssions with Juventus began this week.

Sterling is expected to move before tomorrow's 11pm deadline having been banished from training. The England international - who has played for Liverpool and Man City - grew up supporting United.

Atletico 'consider' ex-United loanee

Atletico Madrid are said to be weighing up a move for former United loanee Sofyan Amrabat.

United refused to rule out a return move for the midfielder earlier this summer although such a prospect looks unlikely. They had initially refrained from triggering the purchase clause in last season's loan deal.

Fellow midfielder Manuel Ugarte is expected to be unveiled before long after undergoing his medical on Wednesday. His move from Paris Saint-Germain will cost an initial £42.3m.

Sheringham: 'Sancho hasn't done the business'

Fromer United striker Teddy Sheringham has pulled no punches in his assessment of Jadon Sancho's situation at Old Trafford.

The winger is expected to leave the club by the weekend with Juventus in talks over some sort of deal, be it loan or purhcase.

He was left out of the squad against Brighton on Saturday, which Sheringham says was ominous despite Sancho and Erik ten Hag agreeing to end their feud this summer.

"He wasn’t on the bench in the game - that’s a bit of a wow moment for me," he told Prime Casino.

“The player isn’t going to like that one little bit - but that’s the manager’s decision and there’s nothing wrong with him deciding to leave him out.

"There’s too many flitty in-and-out wingers at United; too many flashy players that don’t really do the business, and he’s one of them.”

McTominay arrives in Napoli

Footage of Scott McTominay landing in Naples has been shared on social media ahead of transfer from United.

The midfielder is set to swap Manchester for South-West Italy in a deal worth around £25m. It will be the academy graduate's first move of his career.

Napoli fans gathered at what appears to be the airport to welcome him to their club, with the player's entourage flanking him as excited fans swarmed around, chanting in delight.

Juventus 'hiccup' in Sancho deal

Juventus are reportedly having to scramble together funds in order to stump up a greater sum for Jadon Sancho.

Italian outlet Gazzetta says the club are looking to offload a sale before Friday's deadline in order to afford the services of Sancho. United remain in talks with Juventus.

Reports elsewhere suggest that Juventus could propose to loan Sancho with an obligation to buy at the end of his deal, which would hand the Old Lady more time to pull together funds for his transfer.

United close to arranging loan deal for defender

Manchester United defender Rhys Bennett is close to joining Fleetwood Town on a season-long loan.

Bennett travelled to the United States for this summer's pre-season tour and made substitute appearances against Arsenal in Los Angeles and Liverpool in South Carolina.

The centre-back wants regular game time this season and although his proposed loan to Fleetwood is yet to be complete, it should be finalised before the transfer deadline.

Sancho transfer preference

Manchester United star Jadon Sancho prefers a move to Chelsea over Juventus, as per the Guardian.

The England international is expected to depart Old Trafford before deadline day with both clubs holding talks. Blues boss Enzo Maresca was asked update Sancho in his most recent press conference and though he remained coy, his verdict suggested he is a big fan.

"If we can sign a player that can help us, for sure I would," he said when asked about Sancho. "Jadon is not our player. I know him very well. But he is not our player."

Ugarte interview shows why he might be worth gamble

When Manuel Ugarte spoke to the in-house broadcasters at Paris Saint-Germain towards the end of last September, he would have still been envisioning a long and successful career in the French capital.

The seven-and-a-half-minute chat, helpfully subtitled in English for PSG's British website, looks back on Ugarte's first experience of a French 'Classique', the showdown between the country's two biggest clubs and two largest cities.

Hannibal makes Burnley debut

Hannibal Mejbri had only officially been a Burnley player for a few hours but began the club's League Cup defeat to West Ham last night.

The midfielder started the game and played 45 minutes before being replaced at the break.

United have inserted a 50% sell-on clause into his deal as part of his move, meaning United will receive a belated pay day later down the line if he is moved on.

McTominay exit latest

Scott McTominay is set to leave United as a deal with Italian club Napoli nears.

Native newspaper Corriere dello Sport claims that the midfielder is set to fly out to Naples today although is unlikely to complete his medical until tomorrow.

It would mean the Scotland star's exit would only go through on deadline day tomorrow, barring any hiccups in the medical checks.

Toney 'preference'

Claims from The Evening Standard suggest that Ivan Toney would prefer a move to Chelsea over United.

The report links both clubs with the Brentford star, who has been left out of his club's early fixtures this season due to the transfer interest surrounding him.

Toney is in the final year of his Bees contract. United are said to have held initialy early talks but Chelsea look to be the frontrunners ahead of tomorrow's deadline.

Amrabat heading for Premier League return?

A report from talkSPORT says Everton are considering a move for former United loanee Sofyan Amrabat.

United had refused to totally rule out a second move for the Moroccan, who had an optional but-out clause in his loan deal last season.

The club decided against triggering it and a move back to Old Trafford seems slim following the scheduled arrival of Manuel Ugarte.

Amrabat is currently back at employers Fiorentina but is considered likely to move before the end of Friday.

Sancho 'set' for Juventus move

A swap deal with Chelsea's Raheem Sterling might not go ahead, according to a fresh report which suggests Jadon Sancho is heading to Juventus.

RMC Sport claims Sancho is posied for a loan move to the Italian giants with an obligation-to-buy atached as part of the deal.

That might indicate that United's window for incomings is over given United remain cautious over a Sterling arrival, albeit have opened primitive talks about a transfer.

Toney transfer battle

Brentford star Ivan Toney could be at the centre of an intense deadline day transfer battle between Chelsea and Manchester United.

The Blues recently identified him as a serious alternative to Victor Osimhen with financial concerns causing that deal to stall. United have also since discussed a move with Rasmus Hojlund out injured and thus no natural No.9 available to Erik ten Hag.

Toney could yet remain at Brentford, though manager Thomas Frank seems to have moved on regardless having left him out of the club's opening two Premier League matchday squads.
