A NSW Police spokesperson said that a quantity of cash was seized along with a mobile phone.
"She was taken to Mascot Police Station where she was charged with recklessly deal with the proceeds of crime," the spokesperson said.
"She was granted conditional bail to appear at Downing Centre Local Court on Thursday, June 5."
The arrest occurred at 11.50am on Saturday, April 12, 2025.
A Tasmania Police spokesperson said Tasmania Police was aware of the arrest and charges.
"Tasmania Police and our interstate counterparts share information regarding arrests of this type," the spokesperson said.
A racing industry online newsletter Peter Profit Racing reported that the charged woman was a licensed harness racing participant and asserted that she carried more than $90,000 in cash.
It said that she was apprehended after flying from Hobart to Mascot airport.
The newsletter said the participant "was a member of a long-established harness racing family that is well-known on both sides of the Bass Strait".
